A piece about the size of a pencil is required. Remember to put a plaiting band at the top of the piece you are cutting to keep it in place complete and neat. Mane can also be used if long enough. More than one horse's hair can be used and joined together in one piece or several items.

I will wash the hair to prepare it for braiding. When posting please keep it flat and untangled to preserve its shape.
Any hair left over is returned with the finished item of jewellery.

If you click on the Jewellery shop page you will be able to choose which size you want and be able to choose your beads at the same time.

All horses hair is washed and dried to prepare them for braiding.
I count out for each section the amount of hairs required to be exact and make sure they are long enough for the article being made. (any short hairs are removed to avoid whispy sticky-out bits, these will be put to one side and returned to the owner if requested). I use plaiting bands to keep it all tide and start braiding.

Leather is also available in three colours: Brown, Red and Black
